Unni’s Milestones Voted as Top Moment of 2015-16

BOSTON – The results have been tallied and Ram Nation has spoken, voting Caleb Unni’s milestone moment as its favorite moment of 2015-16.

More than 100,000 votes were casted in the first annual bracket-style challenge to select the fan’s favorite moment from the past year. Unni narrowly edged out Justin Selep’s Joe Concannon Semifinalist recognition, who was deemed the champion of the Honors Region.

On a day where Suffolk men’s basketball celebrated the careers of the team’s five graduating seniors February 13, Unni also checked off two milestones. The senior guard made his 100th debut in a blue-and-gold uniform and five minutes into the second half, he ignited a standing room only Regan Gymnasium with yet another wave of positivity as he reached his second highlight of day and drained his 1,000th career point.

Unni, the 15th player in the program’s 69-year history to play in 100 games, cemented himself in Suffolk’s record books as the 28th Ram to accomplish the 1K feat and first since Colin Halpin ’13 and Matt Pepdjonovic ’13 hit the mark in 2013.

Unni, who appeared in 103 games and started in 101 throughout his careered, graduated as the 27th highest scorer in Suffolk’s history.
