BOSTON - Suffolk women's cross country was represented by a trio of underclassmen at the Mayor's Cup at Franklin Park Sunday. Freshman Gina Cappello and sophomores Maria Gallant and Jaenelle Bryant ran the 5k. 

Cappello paced the blue-and-gold runners on the course with a 51st-place performance. Gallant was seven spots behind the Rams' rookie, while Bryant took 60th. 

Suffolk returns to action this Saturday, Nov. 2 when it defends its Conference of New England (CNE) Championship and goes for its fourth straight league title at Western New England in Springfield, Massachusetts.
