
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Suffolk women's cross country turned in a 15th-place performance at the Pre-National Championship Friday night at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Rose Hulman.
In a field with nine nationally ranked teams and regional powerhouses, the Rams took 15th in the field of 44 with 439 points. Suffolk was the second-best squad from the East to race on the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship Course behind No. 4 MIT that won the meet with 45 points.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Amalia Dorion came through the 6k finisher's chute in 22:34.9 to claim 51st. She was the second-best Conference of New England (CNE) student-athlete to compete in Indiana behind Gordon's Rachel Brennan (21:43.71).
- Amy Pattelena was also in the top-100 of the 389-runner field in 54th. The junior clocked a 22:38.6.
- Sydney Fogg, meanwhile, was just outside the top-100 in 106th behind a. time of 23:21.6.
- Sofia Moukaddem crossed the tape in 23:36.8 to take 121st.
- Paige Estaphan produced a 23:55.6 to claim 147th.
- Megan Dunn (25:23.31) and Shannon Groom (25:40.80) rounded out the Rams on the course in 268th and 287th, respectively.

- Dorion and Estaphan both logged personal-best 6ks.
THAT'S A FIRST
- Suffolk ran at night for the first time as a cross country squad in known history.
- The Rams competed at the Pre-National Championship meet for the first time in program history.
