Women’s Cross Country Sees Five Capture All-CCC

BEVERLY, Mass. – After capturing its third consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships, Suffolk women's cross country saw five student-athletes take home All-CCC distinction in Ellie DavisSarah RobertsSydney FoggAmy Pattelena and Emily Concepcion

To earn the distinction, a student-athlete must earn a spot in the top-15 at the conference championship.  

Graduate student Davis led the 11 Rams on the 6k course on the campus of Gordon College Saturday, Oct. 28. She not only put together a personal-best, but a program-record at the CCC Championships of 22:58.6 to claim third in the 71-runner field.  

Roberts raced to a seventh-place finish as the senior came through the finisher's chute in 23:54.2. 

Fogg logged a 24:01.5 to claim 10th and Pattelena was one spot behind Suffolk's senior captain in 11th thanks to her time of 24:05.6. 

Junior Emily Concepcion clocked a 24:23.0, good for 13th.  

Fogg's honor was the third of the senior's career. She is now the first Ram to earn three all-league nods since Emily Manfra earned her third in 2019. Overall, the York, Maine product is the third-ever Suffolk student-athelte to have three all-conference awards alongside Manfra and Emma Weisse. The trio is a in a three-way tie for a program record all-conference awards. 

Davis, Pattelena and Roberts collected All-CCC for the second time in their career and in as many years, while Concepcion took home the feat in cross country for the first time.

The five all-league honors ties for second in the Rams record book for the most all-conference distinction in a single season sitting behind the 2022 squad's six selections. 

Overall, Suffolk has secured 31 all-league honors in its history, 15 from the CCC and 16 during its time in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). When broke down, the Rams own a pair of GNAC Runner of the Years, one GNAC Rookie of the Year, 11 All-GNAC first-team, two All-GNAC Second-Team, 14 All-CCC and one CCC Coach of the Year. Twenty-two (22) awards have come under Will Feldman's guidance, which began in 2018.  

Suffolk now turns its attention to the NCAA East Regionals that the Rams will host this Saturday, Nov. 11 at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
