Women’s Cross Country Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

USTFCCCA RELEASE

BOSTON – Suffolk women's cross country picked up an academic accolade Thursday afternoon as the Rams garnered All-Academic Team distinction from the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Overall 207 teams earned the honor, which has been awarded to squads since 1995-96, for teams that achieve a 3.10 combined GPA. The usual athletic requirement, a team score at a NCAA regional meet, was waived for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the classroom, Will Feldman's Rams put together a 3.706 GPA, which is good for 42nd of the 207 teams honored. The acknowledgement is Suffolk's fourth in a row in fourth in program history, all of which have come in the Feldman era.

The Rams are one of four Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) programs to take home the recognition. The blue-and-gold hold the highest GPA among the group, which features Endicott (3.68), Salve Regina (3.59) and Gordon (3.45).
