BIDDEFORD, Maine. – Going up against 16 teams Saturday morning in the women's 5K, the Suffolk women's cross country team used a member of every class to earn 12th place at the UNE Invitational at Rotary Park. Suffolk's men's team raced with four Rams and did not qualify for team results.

Suffolk's women's squad used a trio of top-125 finishers to earn 12th overall as a team. Sophomore Caitlyn Caramello was the first through the finisher's chute, taking 94th overall with a time of 26:01. Hailing from the junior class and finishing 59 seconds after Caramello for 109th was Sara Middleton. First-Year Audrey Kopich was next off the court, finishing in 28:32 to come in 121st. Felicia Kalil and Rosie Collado rounded out the Suffolk scoring contingent with times of 29:16 and 33:00, respectively.

Sophomore Paulo Guedes paced the Rams' men, running at a pace of 6:23 to claim 60th place with a total time of 31:42. Marco Ferreira was the second Suffolk runner across the finish line, crossing in at 46:02.

The Rams return to the course next weekend as they compete in the Raiders Invitational Saturday, Sept. 19.
