Women's Cross-Country Run at Gordon Invitational

The Suffolk University Women’s Cross-Country team placed fifth at the Gordon College Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Suffolk finished the 5K race with a team total of 107 points.

Freshman Bridget Evangelista (Newburyport, Mass.) was the Rams’ top runner with a time of 22:32 placing 11th in the meet. Sophomore Emily Farr (Ithaca, N.Y.) finished 14th with a time of 22:46. Sophomore Bianca Bellot  (Hudson, N.H.)picked up 23 points for the Rams with a time of 25:19, while senior Cidney Carver (Cincinnati, Ohio) was number 27 with a time of 26:42. Sophomore Christina Webster (Wallingford, Conn.) rounded out the Rams’ five with a time of 29:08.

Gordon won their own race with a team total of 21 points. Freshman Thais Ziegenhals had a course-best time of 20:19.

Suffolk will be back in action this weekend as they race in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Invitational at St. Joseph’s College (Me.).
