BOSTON – Suffolk outdoor track & field will head to Medford, Massachusetts, Saturday, April 1 for the Tufts Snowflake Classic. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Suffolk men's outdoor track & field got its 2023 underway over the weekend at the BSU Bears Invitational.

LAST TIME OUT [ WOMEN ]
Suffolk women's outdoor track & field rewrote the Rams' record books over the weekend as three program records fell when the blue-and-gold began its outdoor campaign at the BSU Bears Invitational.

THE FIELD
Overall, 23 teams will compete on Saturday. Joining Suffolk at the event will be Commonwealth Coast Conference foes, Endicott, Gordon, UNE and Wentworth, as well as Babson, Brandeis, Clark, Colby Sawyer, Connecticut College, Fitchburg State, Hampshire, Lasell, Lesley, Mt. Holyoke, RCC, Regis, Smith, Trinity, UMass Boston, Vermont Tech, Wesleyan and the host Tufts.
RAMS RUNDOWN
- Suffolk's strongest event on the men's side this season will be the 800 and head coach Will Feldman expects big points from them this spring. Selvin Backert, Evan Wright, Luke Sikora and Kely Maloney aim to front the field.
- Fielders Matthew Smith (discus), Frank Irizarry (hammer), Joshua Smith (hammer) and Edward Abouzeid (javelin) are aiming to have big days in their respective events.
- Brady Sorensen will make his long jump debut as he begins his individual CCC title defense and looks to qualify for DIII New England's.
- Nicole DiBenedetto will attempt to break her personal and school record in the high jump in back-to-back weeks.
- Sydney Fogg will make her season debut in the 1500.
- Freshman Gabby Anderson will throw the discus for the first time this season as well.
- Gracie O'Connell and Olivia Nicholson, who both had big personal records a week ago, look to set a few more this weekend.
