Filloramo Throws at NEICAAA Championships

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Over the weekend, Caitlyn Filloramo of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team represented the Rams and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championship hosted by Bryant at the Track & Turf Complex on the Bulldogs campus.

Filloramo is the first Suffolk female to compete at NEICAAAs, a 130-plus year-old event, which began in 1887. At the historical meet, where she was the only CCC student-athlete to compete, the freshman from Southport, Connecticut, heaved the hammer throw 45.18 meters, good for 19th in the 22-thrower field.

Filloramo and the Rams have one final regular-season event on the schedule, MIT's Final Qualifier, Thursday, May 19.
