BIDDEFORD, Maine – For the fourth straight week, Caitlyn Filloramo of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team collected Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Rookie of the Week honors. Her fifth overall weekly award comes on the heels of her performance at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational over the weekend.
A native of Southport, Connecticut, Filloramo represented the Rams in two events at MIT's Sherie and Don Morrison Track Saturday. The freshman earned a fifth-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 47.70 meters. She also competed in the discus and recorded a throw of 27.27 meters.
Suffolk has collected six weekly accolades from the CCC this season with Filloramo responsible for all, but one. Fellow field student-athlete, Allison Rodrigues owns the other award with CCC Field Athlete of the Week distinction April 19.
Filloramo and the Rams compete for a CCC Championship this Saturday, April 30 at Gordon's Brigham Athletic Complex.
