Rodrigues CCC Field Athlete, Filloramo CCC Field Rookie of the Week

CCC RELEASE 

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Suffolk women's outdoor track & field's fielders Allison Rodrigues and Caitlyn Filloramowere recognized for their efforts at the Penmen Relays with weekly awards from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). Rodrigues grabbed field athlete, while Filloramo threepeated as the league's field rookie of the week, the conference office unveiled. 

Rodrigues, a senior from North Andover, Massachusetts, placed third out of 22 competitors at Southern New Hampshire Saturday. She produced a season-best 34.01-meter toss. 

Filloramo, meanwhile, earned her third straight field rookie of the week honor from the conference, after participating in the hammer throw and discus in the Granite State. In the hammer throw, she placed fifth with a recorded toss of 45.43 meters. She also competed in discus where she registered a 26.54-meter heave.  

Suffolk has collected five weekly nods from the CCC this season. Filloramo is responsible for four with three field rookie of the week awards and one field athlete of the week distinction. Rodrigues owns the other recognition with field athlete of the week.  

The Rams will be back in action this Saturday, April 23 at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational.
