Trio from Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Throw at Penmen Relays

HOOKSETT, N.H. – Suffolk women's outdoor track & field was represented by a threesome of Rams in the field events at the Penmen Relays Saturday at Penmen Stadium. 

Caitlyn Filloramo competed in the discus and hammer throw, while Allison Rodrigues and Olivia Nicholsonparticipated in the javelin.  

Filloramo, a freshman from Southport, Connecticut, shined in the hammer. She logged a 45.53-meter toss to claim fifth in the 20-thrower event. In the discus, the Southport, Connecticut, local produced a 26.54-meter throw, good for 16th overall.  

Rodrigues recorded a podium finish in the javelin. The senior, who calls North Andover, Massachusetts, home, produced a season-best 34.01-meter heave to take third in the 22-participant field. Nicholson, meanwhile, chucked the javelin 27.77 meters to capture 13th. 

Suffolk will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts, next Saturday, April 23 for MIT's Sean Collier Invitational.
