CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – One Ram qualified for New England's and four rewrote personal records as Suffolk women's indoor track & field compete at the Crimson Open Saturday at Harvard's Gordon Indoor Track.
NEW ENGLAND QUALIFIERS
- Emily Concepcion earned her place at New Englands in the 800.
RAMS RECORDS
- Concepcion rewrote her personal-best in the 800 with a time of 2:21.50.
- JJ Conteh tied a personal-record in the 60 of 7.93.
- Gracie O'Connell posted a personal-best in the shot put with a 9.05-meter throw.
- Emma Withers (9.16) and Lydia Comprosky (8.81) both notched PRs in the shot put.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Concepcion's 800 time of 2:21.50 was good for fourth in the field of 32. Shannon Groom round out the top 10 with a 2:32.99 showing. Jaenelle Bryant (2:59.46) and Maria Gallant (3:09.22) made two laps around the track as well.
- Conteh claimed seventh in the 60 thanks to her time of 7.93. She was the only NCAA Division III student-athlete in the top 10. Amanda Walden (8.12), Kaylie Groom (38.57), Catherine Madden (8.60) and Aidan Bellal (8.85) dashed the event as well.
- Walden (26.40), Conteh (26.85), Concepcion (27.23), Groom (28.84) and Bellal (29.50) all raced the 200.
- Bailey Ford (5:51.84), Gina Cappello (5:56.05) and Allison Martin (6:21.00) ran the mile.
- Madden hurdled the 60 in 10.23.1.
JUMPERS JIST
- Catherine Brown claimed ninth in the high jump behind a 1.50-meter leap.
THROWERS THOUGHTS
- O'Connell claimed 17th in the shot put with a 9.05-meter heave.
- Bailee Mallett (10.25), O'Connell (10.18), Sharaden Caldwell (9.65), Withers (9.16) and Comprosky (8.81) competed in the weight throw.

Suffolk has two events in store next weekend, Feb. 14-15, in Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational and Bowdoin's Lynn Ruddy Invite.
