BOSTON – Suffolk women's indoor track & field's Amalia Dorion represented the Rams at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Saturday at the Terriers' Track & Tennis Center.
Suffolk's grad student made her debut indoors in a blue-and-gold uniform in the 5000, which featured members from the reigning NCAA Division I Champion and countless All-Americans from all three divisions. The El Paso, Texas native clocked a 17:55.23. That effort punched her ticket to Division III New England's at the end of February.
Dorion takes the remainder of the semester off for finals and the holidays. She and the rest of the Rams return to action in the New Year at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Track at New Balance.
