Through six events this season, seven Rams have punched their tickets to NCAA Division III New England Regionals. Walden earned a spot in three events – 60, 200 and 400. Pattelena (mile, 800) and Davis (3000, 5000) received the nod in two events, respectively, with Concepion (400), JJ Conteh (60), Devyn Battistoni (pole vault) and Sydney Fogg (1,000) all with one bid to regionals.
Event wise, ranks are determined by the top four athletes in each event from each team. The women's pole vault foursome of Sasha Helfgott-Waters, Battistoni, Molly Hennegan and Kara Sickle have combined for the 13th-best in the country, the highest national mark by an event in Suffolk's track history, upstaging the previous held mark of No. 18 by the same event received in the Week 2 edition of the 2023 poll.
Suffolk's sprinters Walden, Concepcion, Kaylie Groom and Alyssa Rodriguez, meanwhile, are the 23rd best in the 400. It is the first time in the Rams' record book that they cracked the top-25 in the 400. Both Walden and Concepcion have earned their bids to regionals in the event.
The Rams return to action this weekend Feb. 2-23 with a pair of events on the schedule: Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational and Plymouth State's Panther Invitational II.
