
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Suffolk women's indoor track & field participated at the Panther Invitational, hosted by Plymouth State, over the weekend. The Rams finished 13th in a field of 14 with nine team points, which featured five GNAC programs.
Cassandra Kuechler represented Suffolk's sprinters. In the 200 she placed 22nd behind a time of 30.26 and took ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a gallop of 10.83.
Teammate Julia Hunt hurdled a few tics behind in 10th, 10.86, from a field of 16.
Savannah Goddeeris led the way for the Rams in the mile, posting a top-ten finish (ninth) in a field of 26 with a time of 5:40.14. Olivia Chilcott and Mai Linh Vankirk were in the field as well. Chilcott clocked 6:00.13 and Vankirk finish with a time of 6:10.44, good for 14th and 20th, respectively.
In the 3K, Natalie Fay finished 14th with a time of 12:17.85 in a field of 18.
Allison Rodrigues highlighted the Rams' field athletes. The sophomore had the top GNAC finish in the shot put as her 10.76-meter toss put her in fourth overall out of 30 foes. In the weight throw, she finished 16th behind a 10.30-meter throw.
Savannah Hunter (9.08) and Michelle Riley (8.23) joined Rodrigues in the shot put.
In the high jump, Nicole DiBenedetto would take fifth place in a field of nine with a jump of 1.43 meters.
DiBenedetto and Hunt would also compete in the long jump. Hunt reached a distance of 4.20 meters for 12th and DiBenedetto jumped 3.96 meters for 15th in a field of 23.
Hunt would take part in the triple jump, reaching 8.75 meters for 12th out of 14.
Suffolk's tune up before the inaugural GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championship Sunday, Feb. 16, is Boston University's David Henry Valentine Invite Saturday, Feb. 16.
