CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Suffolk women's tennis returned to action one final time in 2022-23 with a spring match against Lesley Saturday at Harvard's Beren Tennis Center. The Rams fell to the Lynx in a 5-4 thriller.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk fell behind 2-1 after Lesley won doubles matches on the first and second courts. The No. 3 twosome of Barbara Consales and Anastasiya Zakharava downed Jordan Blair and Annie Dai, 8-6, to put the blue-and-gold on the board.

On the sixth singles court, Zakharava put together a 6-2, 6-0 against Dai to level the playing field at 2-all.  

Rachel Hill defeated Brooke Whitten, 6-3, 6-4, in the second slot to give Suffolk a 3-2 lead.  

The advantage did not last long for the Rams as the Lynx leveled the playing field at 3-all with a win on court three, before decisions on courts one and five, in that order, pushed Lesley to the decision.   

For the 5-4 final, Bianca Prescott bested Isabella Cottrell, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 at No. 4.
