BOSTON – Alyssa Blade and Bianca Prescott will serve as co-captains of the Suffolk women's tennis team for the 2022 campaign, newly named head coach Drew Goldstein announced.
The senior twosome are the second straight set to share the leadership role as the pair takes over for Ilda Ascic and Kendall Smith, who held the post since 2019.
Suffolk has been led by two Rams for seven seasons in a row.
Blade and Prescott helped Suffolk into the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) era a year ago. Blade, a Killingly, Connecticut, product, played primarily on the lower tier of the ladder in singles (2-4), while Prescott, who calls East Granby, Connecticut home, saw action on courts three through six (3-7).
The Rams season is set to get underway tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Simmons at 3:30 p.m.
