BOSTON – With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Suffolk women's tennis team has a quick turnaround as it will entertain St. Joseph (Conn.) Wednesday, Oct. 3, before welcome UMass Dartmouth to North Reading High School the following day, Thursday, Oct. 4. Both contests are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's tennis team returned to the win column Friday night as the Rams took down Lesley, 7-2 at the Woburn Racquet Club.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With its last victory Sept. 29, Suffolk improved to 3-6 on the season. The Rams have gone 1-3 in conference contests this year. 

Individually, Delaney Dunlap has held down Suffolk's ace position all season and brings in a 4-5 record into the week. Freshmen Ilda Ascic and Jordan Miller sport the best singles record on the squad with the rookies each holding 5-4 marks. Ascic's numbers come solely at the second spot, while Miller has seen time in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively. 

Dunlap and Ascic have teamed up in every match for Suffolk's top tandem. The duo is 5-4.

BLUE JAYS BREAKDOWN
St. Joseph (Conn.) heads to the Bay State with a 1-3 overall record and has yet to find the win column in league matches, sitting 0-2. 

The Blue Jays best racquets on the singles courts are Carolyn Callahan and Jessica McAllister, who each are 2-1 on the season. The duo has split time playing in spots five and six. USJ's ace, Lucy Roberge, has not picked up a win thus far.

In doubles, three different teams have a win with Callahan and McAllister combining for the best record at 1-0.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Since 2007, Suffolk is unbeaten versus USJ, rattling off 11 consecutive wins versus the Blue Jays.
• Suffolk secured the last four meetings by 7-2 decisions.
• The Rams have swept the Blue Jays three times in the last 11 minutes: 2012, 2010 and 2007.

CORSAIRS CATCHUP
UMass Dartmouth edged above .500 Sunday with a 7-2 win over Western Connecticut to improve to 5-4 on the season. Prior to taking on Suffolk, the Corsairs will take on Bridgewater State Tuesday, Oct. 2. 

Jenna Lahaie, UMass' ace, has anchored Dartmouth's singles play with a 7-2 ledger. Monika Reining sports the second-best singles record at 6-3 on courts four and five.

Lahaie has teamed up with Jaime Fastino in every match for the Corsairs. The senior, junior tandem is 7-2.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk and UMass Dartmouth renew a rivalry after taking last season off.
• Since 2013, the series is leveled at two wins apiece.
