NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Suffolk women's tennis team took down Albertus Magnus, 7-2, in GNAC action at the Celetano Courts Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk locked up all three doubles matches and sealed the match wth victories on courts five and six, respectively.

An 8-1 win by Delaney Dunlap and Danlyn Medou over Jess Coughlin and Keslea Wildman in the second spot put the Rams on the board. Ahilya Malhourta and Jacquelyn Nakamura followed with an 8-2 decision on court three versus Nallely Magana and Paige Williams.

Isabelth Rathlev and Elena Cisneros Garcia closed doubles play with an 8-4 victory on the top court versus Alicia Weaver and Izzy Sabino. 

Medou's golden match in the fifth position over Magana set up match point and Nakamura sealed the win thanks to a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Williams in the sixth spot. 

Malhourta took down Wildman, 6-1, 6-0, to make it a 6-0 Suffolk contest. Dunlap rounded out the Rams' winners with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Weaver on court one.

Cisneros Garcia and Rathlev fell in the third and second positions for the final 7-2 tally.

NOTEWORTHY

• Suffolk improved to 21-4 all-time versus Albertus Magnus, in a series that began in 1993.
• The Rams have now won 16 straight versus the Falcons, dating back to Sept. 29, 2001.

Suffolk takes a break for GNAC action as it is set for a rematch with Lesley Monday, Oct. 2. First serve at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols is set for 7:30 p.m.
