NORTH READING, Mass. – In its home opener, Suffolk women's tennis was swept, 9-0, by Roger Williams at North Reading High School.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles action ended in order as the Hawks locked up all three points starting with a golden match win on the first court with Delaney Dunlap and Isabel Rathlev falling to Katie Hughes and Julie Akerman. 

Akerman carried her straight set winning ways into singles play where she defeated Elena Cisneros Garcia in a golden match in the second slot to move the score to 4-0. Taryn Roche locked up the win for the visitors as she defeated Keeley Hardy, 6-0, 6-1, on court four. 

The Hawks went on to secure the sweep with Allie Grinavic and Gabby Riley putting together golden matches in the fifth and sixth spots, respectively.

Suffolk continues its homestand Thursday, Sept. 14 when Bridgewater State pays the Rams a visit at 4 p.m.
