WINCHESTER, Mass. – The third-seeded Suffolk women's tennis team's quest for its second-ever GNAC crown was put out Saturday night as the second-seeded Sharks of Simmons defeated the Rams, 5-2, at the Winchester Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk was in a 1-2 hole after doubles, Eugenia Skorobogatov kept the Rams' alive with a win on the first doubles court, but Simmons locked up the victory by taking the second and fourth positions, respectively.
SUFFOLK STANDOUTS
- Danlyn Medou and Jacquelyn Nakamura partnered for the first time in 2016 in doubles play and earned an 8-5 victory in the third spot over Mary Matthews and Michelle Medici.
- Playing as the Rams' ace for the first time this season, Skorobogatov took down Jessica Schroedl, 6-4, 6-3, to earn Suffolk's second point of the day.
