CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Suffolk women's tennis team strung together consecutive victories for the first time this season as the Rams followed a clean sheet with another 9-0 triumph Monday night, this time taking down Lesley at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk stormed out of first serve and rolled past the Lynx in doubles play. The momentum did not let up in singles as the Rams locked up with the win with an Isabel Rathlev third court singles victory and continued to pile on the points for the sweep. 

SUFFOLK STANDOUTS

  • Valentina Medina and Rathlev got the evening going with an 8-2 win over Caroline Kiddie and Theresa Pereira in the top tandem spot. 
  • Danlyn Medou and Elena Cisernos Garcia followed in the second spot with an 8-3 with against Frances De Leon and Jessica Russo. 
  • Christina Texidor and Jacquelyn Nakamura locked up the perfect doubles action for Suffolk an 8-4 win versus Maddie Abbott and Sara Stanton. 
  • The reigning GNAC Corvias Player of the Week tallied her 26th singles victory and continued to remain undefeated in dual play as Medina bested Kiddie, 6-2, 6-1, on court one. 
  • Rathlev clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2, decision over Pereira on court three. 
  • Garcia followed a 6-1 first set with a golden set for a win in the fourth spot over De Leon. 
  • Eugenia Skorobogatov notched a golden match in the second slot against Abbott. 
  • Christina Texidor downed Cournty Goggin, 6-2, 6-4, in the sixth spot. 
  • Nakamura rounded out the non-conference action with a 6-1, 6-4, victory over Russo on court five. 

NOTEABLES

  • Suffolk won back-to-back matches for the first time this season. 
  • The consecutive sweeps are the first for the Rams since the blue-and-gold shut Emerson (Oct. 15) and Mount Ida (Oct. 22) in back-to-back matches in 2014.
