HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk took a 2-1 lead out of doubles play and quickly jumped ahead to a 3-1 edge thanks to Valentina Medina's 6-1, 6-0 victory on court one. Springfield took courts six and five, respectively, to pull within one, 3-2, but Aidiana Sagyndykova set up match point with a 7-6, 6-3, second spot triumph. The Rams could not pull through in the third and fourth positions, however, as the Pride prevailed to clinch the 5-4 match, its fifth straight win.
