
WESTON, Mass. – Trailing 1-0 heading into resume play with Regis from Saturday afternoon, Suffolk scored four points, but was unable to look up the match, falling to the Pride, 5-4, at the Regis Tennis Center Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Regis held a 1-0 lead when the match was postponed on Saturday thanks to a win on the third doubles court with Suffolk leading on the first and second doubles court, respectively. The Rams locked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to take a 2-1 edge into singles action where the blue-and-gold quickly took a 4-1 lead thanks to wins on the top two singles courts. The Pride halted Suffolk's winning ways and won out to take the 5-4 non-conference win.
SUFFOLK STANDOUTS
- Valentina Medina and Danlyn Medou picked up the first point for Suffolk. The junior, freshman tandem picked up where they left off, leading Jessie Lord and Ariana McCormack, 6-3, and rolled to an 8-3 win.
- Aidiana Sagyndykova and Elena Cisneros Garcia moved the score to 2-1 in favor of Suffolk with a marathon second spot match. The senior, sophomore pair defeated Katasha Jarvis and Carly Scanlon, 9-8 (7-2).
- Sagyndykova swept Erica Murphy 6-0 in the first game and was on her way to another golden set, but Murphy retired to give Suffolk's lead to a 3-1 advantage.
- Medina kept her collegiate singles record perfect as she downed Lord, 6-3, 6-2.
