Women’s Tennis at Regis Postponed

WESTON, Mass.  The Suffolk women's tennis match at Regis Saturday afternoon as been postponed in mid-match action due to inclement weather. The Rams and Pride will resume play Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Regis Tennis Center.

Regis' tandem of Erica Murphy and Emily Rice defeated Suffolk's No. 3 duo of Meagan French and Christina Texidor, 8-2, to give the hosts a 1-0 lead heading into Tuesday.

Suffolk, meanwhile, was leading on the one and two courts, respectively. Valentina Medina and Danlyn Medou held a 6-3 lead in the top spot over Jessie Lord and Ariana McCormack, while Elena Garcia Cisneros and Aidiana Sagyndykova were up 5-4 on Katasha Jarvis and Carly Scanlon in the second slot. The matches will resumed where they left off.

Prior to resuming the contest at Regis, Suffolk will travel to Roger Williams Monday, Sept. 12 for a 4 p.m. match.
