BOSTON – Returning the 2015 GNAC Player and Rookie of the Year, the Suffolk women's tennis team has been selected to finish second in the preseason poll according to a vote by the league's seven head coaches, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

The dynamic co-captain duo of senior Aidiana Sagyndykova and junior Valentina Medina, who took home the league's top honors of player and rookie a year ago, and their fellow Rams garnered 41 points with one-first place nod to be pegged just seven points behind conference powerhouse Simmons. With nine straight conference crowns the Sharks were once again pegged the league's favorite with seven first-place votes for 48 points.

The 2015 conference tournament runner-up, Johnson & Wales took third with 37 points with the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (28), Albertus Magnus (18), Anna Maria (13) and Mount Ida (11) rounding out the poll.
