The Suffolk University Women's Tennis team wrapped up their 2012 regular season with their fourth consecutive victory defeating Albertus Magnus College, 9-0 on Friday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

The win moves Suffolk to a 7-7 overall mark for the 2012 season and a 4-4 record in conference play. Suffolk will now enter the GNAC Playoffs as the number five seed on Wednesday as they will travel to Johnson & Wales University who finished fourth with an 11-2-1 overall record and 6-2 GNAC mark.

Sophomore Adrianna Garrett (Plymouth, Mass.) finished the regular season with the best record in singles play for the Rams as she was 9-5 on the season, and also compiled another six victories in doubles play on the year for a total of 15 victories for the Rams. Garrett was 6-2 overall in GNAC matches on the year and was 7-4 playing primarily out of the number three position for the Rams. On Friday she grabbed a pair of victories for Suffolk, winning her singles set 6-0, 6-1 and then partnered with senior Allison Weisenbach (Hamden, Conn.) for an 8-0 victory in the second doubles match.

Weisenbach and Garrett had the best winning percentage of any Suffolk duo on the season .714. Their win on Friday moved the duo to a 5-2 overall record on the season. Weisenbach wrapped up the regular season with a 6-3 record in singles play as well for the Rams.

Juniors Stacey Politis (Saugus, Mass.) and Melissa Chermely (Walpole, Mass.) earned their team-leading seventh victory as a duo on Friday with an 8-0 win in the third doubles match.

Chermely upped her individual record to 5-4 with a 6-0, 6-2 victory on Friday evening in the fourth singles game, while Politis improved to 3-2 sweeping consecutive sets 6-0 in the sixth game.

Senior Kelly Conrad (Lanstuhl, Germany) was the winner on Friday in both the number one singles and top double match. Conrad posted straight 6-0 victories in the top singles game as she collected her fourth win of the season.  Conrad and sophomore Erica LeBlanc (Londonderry, N.H.) picked up their fifth victory of the season as a tandem in doubles play with an 8-0 victory.

Freshman Rebecca Eshoo (Fairfield, Conn.) rounded out the singles field on Friday as she moved to a 7-4 record on the season and 5-1 in GNAC play with back-to-back 6-0 sets in the number five singles game.

Suffolk and Johnson & Wales met previously this season on September 25 with the Wildcats coming out victorious, 6-3.
