Douglas Meloni joined Ellie McDougall's staff as an assistant coach for his first season in 2023 and begins his season year on staff in 2024.

Meloni helped Suffolk assemble an 8-8-3 overall record in 2022 that featured the best start in program history with a 5-1-1 record through the first seven games. His first season saw the Rams reach the postseason for the first time since 2021 and make to the CCC semifinals for the first-time in program history. 

Meloni, a well-versed club coach, began his first year on a NCAA collegiate coaching staff in 2022, while continuing his post as the head coach of three different Mass City Footclub Teams. He also has done stints with Galway Rovers and Northwest United Soccer Club. 

Meloni, who is bilingual in Portuguese and English, began his coaching career in Brazil at the Sao Paulo Futebol Clube in 2015.
