BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's soccer's Avery Porter picked up Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week after producing two goals in a 3-0 triumph over Mass. Maritime Saturday, the league office unveiled.
Porter, who has started all four games for the blue-and-gold thus far, produced her first collegiate points in the 3-0 shutout of the Buccaneers with two unanswered goals in the first half.
The freshman from Portland, Oregon, is the first Rams rook to be tabbed the conference's best rookie over a seven-day stretch since Sophia Barker took home the feat Sept. 26, 2022.
Suffolk and Porter are back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they stop by Fitchburg State for a non-conference clash.
