
BOSTON – A pair of Rams potted unassisted markers to push Suffolk women's soccer to a 2-1 season-opening triumph over Elms Friday at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk potted a pair of goals within an eight-minute span in the first half to go up early. Chelsea Fallon headed a rebound away to break open the scoring in the 30th minute, while Daniela Petronio followed suit with a good free kick at the 37:47 mark for the 2-0 cushion.
Less than three minutes later, Emily Basua converted a pass from Hailey Magierowski into a goal to cut the Rams' lead in half.
Despite Suffolk's 13 tries, four on target, the score stood still over the second set of 45 minutes and Arden Ferrari-Henry turned aside the only shot she faced to hold onto the win for the Rams.
