Long Tabbed All-CCC Third Team, Women’s Soccer CCC All-Sportsmanship

CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Hayley Long of the Suffolk women's soccer team captured an all-league recognition as the senior captain was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference's (CCC) Third-Team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Long, a native of Exeter, New Hampshire, received her second all-league recognition in as many seasons after producing two goals and one helper to Suffolk's 17-goal offense. One of her strikes pushed Suffolk to a victory, a 1-0 win at Framingham State, Sept. 3. She becomes just the first player in program history to receive a pair of All-CCC accolades in her collegiate career.

Under the leadership of first-year head coach Ellie McDougall Suffolk was recognized on the sportsmanship front as well as the Rams earned the league's Sportsmanship Award. It is the first honor for the women's soccer squad in the CCC era, and second time that a blue-and-gold squad has been recognized with the front as Suffolk women's tennis team earned the feat this fall as well.

Since joining the CCC in 2021, Suffolk has taken home five All-CCC: one first-team, two-second team and two third-team. When combined with their GNAC accolades, the Rams own 35 all-league nods including two offensive player of the year, three rookie of the year, eight first-team selections, 10 second-team nods and 12 third-team honors.
