BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer welcomes Roger Williams to James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Oct. 1. The 3 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference outing will dual as the Rams' Breast Cancer Awarness Game.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Join Suffolk men's soccer in the fight against breast cancer on Saturday, Oct. 1.  

All fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause. Donations will be collected online here and benefit Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer organization  that addresses the disease on multiple fronts in order to make the biggest impact it can. 

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's soccer put together the biggest offensive output in the Ellie McDougall era as the Rams ran past Fisher, 3-0, Tuesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk reentered the win column Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory over Fisher that pushed the Rams season record to 2-4-2. In conference contests, the blue-and-gold sits 0-1-1.  

The Rams are averaging just under 1.00 goals per game with Suffolk's seven strikes scattered around five different boots. Delaney Hall and Klaudia Rushi have each found the back of the net twice this season. Daniela Petronioshares the top spot on the squad in points with Hall and Rushi behind a one-goal, one-assist stat line. Hayley Long and Kylie Perron round out the blue-and-gold's goal scorers with one strike apiece.  

Sophia Barker and Maddie Brooke have each taken the pitch to defend the cage for Suffolk. In six appearances, all starts, Barker holds a 1.33 GAA and .840 save percentage

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams fell to Bridgewater State Wednesday to move to 4-6-0 on the year. In league play, the Hawks have a 1-1-0 record with a 4-0 win over Gordon Sept. 24.  

Bianca Robbins and Julia Robbins are the biggest scoring threats for RWU. The former has nine points on four goals and one assist, while the latter is second on the squad with seven points thanks to three markers and one set-up. Sofie Morris and Leah Yucius have a knack for scoring as well with three goals apiece. 

Coco Marrelli has proven to be the Hawks go-to- goalie. She holds a 2.46 GAA and .771 save percentage in her seven appearances, all starts. Bailey Bourque, meanwhile, brings in a 2.86 GAA and .722 save percentage in her four games played.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Roger Williams met for the first time a year ago. The Rams won that battle, 2-1, Oct. 26, 2021. 
  • The Rams will entertain the Hawks in Eastie for the first time.

Suffolk concludes its non-conference calendar against New England College Tuesday, Oct. 4. The Rams and Pilgrims are set to clash in Eastie at 7 p.m.
