2021 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S SOCCER ROSTER
BOSTON – Over the longer than usual off season, head coach Ashley Van Vechten brought in a 13 Ram rookies to add depth to the Suffolk women's soccer roster for the 2021 campaign.
The 13 fresh faces joining the Rams ranks for their 15th year are 11 true freshmen, while junior Nicole Morin-Trotta brings her talents to Boston after a two-year stint at Springfield and Lucy Tretter comes to Ram Nation by way of Saint Joseph's (Maine).
"We are proud to announce a large slate of newcomers to our Suffolk women's soccer program this year," Van Vechten said. "All of our incoming and transfer student-athletes have experience competing among the highest levels of club soccer, and we are thrilled to add their knowledge and skill set to an early competitive squad."
In addition to the 2021 recruits, Ram Nation will also get to see the 2020 class in Suffolk uniforms for the first time this fall after last year's campaign was cancelled due to COVID-19.
The incoming classes will join a talented and experience group of returners, highlighted by the core four seniors Julia Hunt, Jackie Kelly, Carley Pearce and Allison Rodrigues, that will lead the program into a new, highly competitive, league, the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).
Suffolk will look to build off its 10-win 2019 effort that featured eight shutouts and postseason hosting rights. Action is scheduled to get underway Wednesday, Sept. 1 when the Rams welcome Elms to James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park for a 12 p.m. first kick.
