BOSTON – The Suffolk women's soccer team is set for a midweek trip to Johnson & Wales Wednesday, Oct. 13 as the Rams and Wildcats are scheduled for a 7 p.m. GNAC tilt.

LAST TIME OUT
St. Joseph's (Maine) scored the game winner with one-minute left on the clock to down Suffolk women's soccer, 2-1, Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With the setback Saturday, Suffolk moved to 2-8-1 on the season and 2-6-1 in conference competition. The Rams look to return to the win column for the first time since a 1-0 victory at Albertus Magnus Sept. 19. 

Caleigh O'Brien has been the true catalyst offensively for the blue-and-gold this season as the sophomore has found the back of the net seven times this season. She has been responsible for Suffolk's last four goals.

Allison Rodrigues has held down the goal defense for the majority of the season. The freshman brings in a .776 save percentage and a 1.83 goals against average.

WILDCAT WAYS
Johnson & Wales has not lost since Sept. 17 to take a 10-5-1 mark and a 7-1 league ledger, good for second in the standing. Before the Wildcats played UMass Dartmouth to a scoreless double overtime draw Monday night, they rattled off seven straight wins. 

A quartet of players have double digit points paced by Olivia Cairrao's 22 on 10 goals and a pair of assists. Jordan Restivo is second on the squad behind 19 points on eight markers and three set-ups with Emily Zeblisky (6g, 2a) and Deja Hursey (4g, 2a) completing the foursome.

Colleen Lynch is one of the most successful keepers in the conference with a 10-5-1 record including six shutouts. The junior keeper holds a .777 save percentage and a 1.33 goals-against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES 

• Suffolk moved to 5-8 in the all-time series versus Johnson & Wales with its 4-1 setback to the Wildcats a year ago.
• The Rams last win over the Wildcats came in the form of a 2-1 stunner in the 2016 GNAC Quarterfinals Sept. 30, 2016.

Suffolk's midweek match was its lone contest of the week. The Rams will be back in action next Wednesday, Sept. 17 as it concludes is home slate against conference and cross-town rival Emmanuel. The final first kick of 2018 for Suffolk women's soccer in Eastie is scheduled for 7 p.m.
