BOSTON – The Suffolk women's soccer team and Simmons battled for a scoreless draw Wednesday night at Daly Field. 

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 0, Simmons 0
RECORDS: Suffolk (2-7-1, 2-5-1 GNAC) | Simmons (7-3-1, 5-1-1 GNAC)  

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk commanded the first set of 45 minutes with four shots on goal, while Simmons responded out of half time with five shots on net but each team's keepers kept their foes off the scoreboard to force the extra frame.  

In the first OT, the Rams put two shots on goal compared to the Sharks, but yet again Lauren Williams stood tall to keep zeros on the scoreboard. 

The blue-and-gold managed to put another two shots on frame in the second extra sessions, but none got past Williams gloves as the conference contest ended in a stalemate.   

KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS

• Rodrigues picked up her second sole shutout behind a nine-save performance. 
• Williams turned aside all of Suffolk's eight shots on target. 

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• Simmons held a slim 15-12 edge in shots including a 9-8 advantage in shots on net. 
• The Sharks had one more corner chance than Suffolk, 6-5. 
• Caleigh O'Brien led Suffolk's attack with six shots with half going on frame. 
• Both of Addisyn Lanza's attempts went on target.  

NOTEWORTHY

• Suffolk moved to 3-7-2 all-time versus Simmons.
• The Rams and Sharks ended in a scoreless stalemate for the second time in the all-time series and first time since Oct. 12, 2011. 
• Both of the ties in the all-time meetings between Suffolk and Simmons are scoreless. 
• The faced Simmons in overtime for the third time in the all-time series. In those meetings, Suffolk is 1-0-2. 
• The conference foes needed extra time against one another for the first time since 2012 and went into double OT for just the second time in the all-time series and first since 2011. 
• Suffolk played its second overtime contest of the season and in the Ashley Van Vechten era. The Rams sit 0-1-1 in OT in 2018. 
• Rodrigues made a career-high nine saves.
