Women’s Soccer Slips in GNAC Regular Season Finale at Rivier, 2-0

NASHUA, N.H. – The Suffolk women's soccer team was tripped up in its GNAC regular season finale as the Raiders of Rivier shutout the Rams, 2-0, at Raider Field Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Rivier's Maggie Cohoon netted both goals of the contest within the first 15 minutes of the first half and the Raiders held of the Rams' attack to seal up the 2-0 win. 

KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS

  • Kirsten Weiker was successful on six of eight shots faced. 
  • Lauren Goodspeed stopped all nine shots she faced on net for her second consecutive and fourth shutout of the year. 

NOTEABLES

  • Despite the setback, Suffolk earned the seventh seed in the upcoming conference tournament. 
  • The Rams will make their sixth appearance in the conference tournament and first since 2014.
