Women’s Soccer Tripped Up at Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Suffolk women's soccer team fell behind early and never bounced back as Albertus Magnus defeated the Rams, 3-0, Wednesday evening at Celentano Field. 

Albertus Magnus (8-7-2, 6-4-0 GNAC) got on the board in the 36th minute when Kaitlyn Fedumenti finished in the lower right corner. 

Suffolk (3-15, 2-8 GNAC) played better defensively, but was unable to get the offense rolling, while Albertus Magnus added two second stanza scores for the final 3-0 scores.  The Falcons out shot the Rams, 18-7 overall, 11-2 on target. Suffolk's freshman keeper Kirsten Weiker made eight saves in the set-back. 

Suffolk wraps up its regular season action Saturday afternoon at Mount Ida at 12 p.m.
