Curry Storms Past Women's Soccer, 4-0

MILTON, Mass. – The Suffolk women's soccer team was defeated at Curry, 4-0, Wednesday night at Walter M. Katz Field.

Curry (11-3) controlled the first half outshooting Suffolk (3-13), 12-3.  The Colonel's tallied three scores over an 11 minute span.  Kaitlyn Lima got the hosts on the board at the 20:39 minute mark after scoring her first of two in the match.  Lima maneuvered through a Ram's defender and one-timed the ball over the head of Suffolk's goaltender Kirstin Weiker

Lima netted her second after teammate Amanda Crisfulla sent her a through ball for the assist.  Just under three minutes later Curry's Taylor Evans received a pass from Mary Blythe  and struck the ball into the back of the net.  Colonel's goalkeeper Morgan Stott saw just one shot on net.

Shots in the second half were even at seven apiece, but the Rams were unable to get on the board.  Christina Chiofalo replaced Stott in net and stopped all three of Suffolk's shots on goal to keep them scoreless.

Chiofalo assisted on Curry's final tally on the day.  After a save she punted the ball to Samantha McGrath who one-timed it past the glove of Weiker.

Curry finished with 19 shots while Suffolk had a game total of 10.

Stott made one save in 45 minutes in net and Chiofalo made three stops in 45 minutes.  Weiker made seven saves in the loss.

Suffolk returns to action Saturday afternoon when it hosts Rivier on Senior Day.
