Women's Soccer Top Rivier 1-0

The Suffolk University Women's Soccer team defeated the Rivier University Raiders 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Freshman Alexandra Nagri (Salem, N.H.) scored the game's lone goal to send Suffolk to their second straight conference victory while also extending their unbeaten streak to five games.

Nagri took a feed from sophomore Shannon Simmons (Arlington, Mass.) to convert her fourth goal of the season.

Senior Melissa Brouillette (Shelton, Conn.) recorded her second shutout of the season in goal for Suffolk.

The victory moves Suffolk to a 4-5-3 overall record on the season as they improve to a 3-1-3 mark in GNAC play.

Suffolk will now travel to Lasell College on Tuesday in a rescheduled contest that will be pushed back a day due to poor field conditions. The game will be a rematch of last year's GNAC finals and will start at 4:00pm.
