Women's Soccer top Norwich 2-0

The Suffolk University Women's Soccer team defeated Norwich University on the road on Saturday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Freshman Paolo Ortez (Revere, Mass.) scored her first career collegiate goal just four minutes into the contest when she took a feed from fellow classmate Erika Nelson (Peabody, Mass.) for the game's first strike.

Nearly eighty minutes would go by when freshman Jessica Harmon (Huntington Beach, Calif.) added an insurance goal when her strike in the eighty third minute of the contest built some insurance for the Rams. Harmon would put out a team-high five shots on goal in the contest.

Senior Melissa Brouoillette (Shelton, Conn.) stopped all four shots she faced in goal on the evening for Suffolk.

The win improves Suffolk to a 2-4 overall record on the season moving to 1-1 in conference play.

Suffolk held a 22-11 overall edge in shots in the contest.

Suffolk will be back in action when they travel to Tufts University for a non-conference matchup with the Jumbos at 4:00pm.
