Rams Fall on the road to St. Joseph (Ct.) 2-1

The Suffolk University Women's Soccer team fell on the road on Saturday dropping a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup to St. Joseph College (Ct.) 2-1 in overtime.

The Blue Jays' Eva Peart (Bloomfield, CT) scored the game-winning goal eight minutes into the first overtime handing the Rams their fifth loss in GNAC play on the season, and second overtime loss of the season.

Sophomore Leslie Hayden (Ross, CA) scored the Rams' lone goal, her ninth of the season converting on a pass from sophomore Gina Dean (Revere, MA) to even the game at 1-1, ten minutes into the second half.  Hayden now has 26 career goals in 21 career games with the Rams.

Junior goalkeeper Emily Joyce (Easton, MA) tied a season-high with 16 saves for the Rams in the loss.

The Rams were outshot 36-8 in the game, while all 8 Rams' shots were shots on goal. Freshman Kelsey Cavaretta (Marcellus, NY) led the team with three shots on goal.

The Rams are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Providence, R.I. to take on the Johnson & Wales Wildcats in a GNAC matchup.
