BEVERLY, Mass. – Ally Colburn of the Suffolk women's lacrosse team earned a pair of weekly accolades as the freshman was named Conference of New England (CNE) Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, the league office unveiled.
The recognition comes on the heels of a 10-point week.
Colburn, an attacker from Branford, Connecticut, registered a four-goal offensive output in the 14-11 setback at Lasell Wednesday. The Rams rookie one-upped that goal output Saturday with a personal-best five markers and one helper in the 16-11 loss to Fitchburg State.
The accolades are the first of Colburn's collegiate career. She is the first Ram to be tabbed the league's best offensive performer in a seven-day span in program history and first Suffolk women's lacrosse player to earn multiple weekly distinctions in the same week from the conference. She is the second-ever Ram to earn the CNE Rookie of the Week title as Julia Dickinson etched her name down as the first March 3, 2025.
Colburn and Suffolk are back in action this afternoon, Monday, March 24 at Rhode Island College at 4:00 p.m.
