
NEWTON, Mass. – Suffolk women's lacrosse took a two-goal lead into the fourth frame, but was unable to hold onto it as Lasell outscored the Rams, 5-0, to hand the blue-and-gold a 14-11 non-conference victory Wednesday night at Grellier Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The foes went goal-for-goal to get things started and the game remained locked at 2-all at the 9:05 mark of the opening quarter. The Rams goals came off the sticks of Ally Colburn and Julia Dickinson.
The Lasers scored two unanswered to send Suffolk into the second stanza down 4-2.
The Rams wasted little time to responded as they scored five unanswered over a 6:46-span to go up 7-4. Colburn was responsible for the first three blue-and-gold strikes that gave the visitors the upperhand. Eliza Bryant and Charlotte Goodman joined the offensive output with one goal apiece to pad the margin to three.
Lasell ended the action before half with three consecutive goals of its own to even things at 7-all when the teams headed to the locker room.
After the Lasers struck first out of the intermission, Suffolk went on to outscore Lasell 4-1 over the final 12:42 of the third to take a 11-9 cushion into the fourth quarter. Zoe Peckham and Dickinson provided a pair of goals apiece to the third quarter scoring stretch.
It was all Lasell in the fourth with five unanswered for the 14-11 final.
