BEVERLY, Mass. – Days away from its first-ever contest, the Suffolk women's lacrosse team has been selected to finish ninth in the Conference of New England, according to a vote by the league's 10 head coaches, released Wednesday afternoon.
The Rams, led by inaugural head coach Carolynn Keal, landed ninth in the 10-team pack with 20 points. Endicott was a near unanimous decision to claim the CNE crown with nine first-place votes to headline the poll with 99 points eight ahead of runner-up favorite Roger Williams, who earned the remaining first place pick, and Western New England that grabbed 70 points.
Hartford and the University of New England round out the top five with 67 points and 66 points, respectively.
Nichols (52), Curry (37) and Gordon (35) slid into spots sixth through eight ahead of the Rams.
Keal assembled a 16-player roster with student-athletes from all over the Northeast to build the first-ever Suffolk women's lacrosse roster. The players – six midfielders, five attackers, four defenders and one goalie – represent three academic classes in 11 true freshmen, three juniors and two sophomores.
The first draw of the 2025 season is set for this Saturday, Feb. 22 at Dean at 12:00 p.m.
