Maureen Bradley enters her first semester as a Graduate Assistant in the Suffolk Athletics Department, where she is a part of Taylor Wasylk’s first ever women’s ice hockey staff that debuts its anticipated puck drop in 2018-19. Alongside her coaching responsibilities, Bradley will assist Wasylk in student-athlete academic support. 

Bradley comes to Suffolk after beginning her coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Stevenson. While completing her Masters of Arts in Communications, she was responsible for game bench management, goaltender development, scouting, recruiting and the team’s social media presence. 

In addition to her coaching role at Stevenson, she served as the Assistant Instructor of Student Athletes Dedicated to Developing Leadership and Excellence (SADDLE). This program was open to all Stevenson student-athletes, where Bradley brushed upon the points of conflict, leadership, communication and other necessary functions of being a leader. 

The Swampscott, Massachusetts, local has an extensive coaching resume, which includes stints as the goaltender coach for USA Hockey, Multi-Distrcit Camp in 2016 and an internship coaching role for USA Hockey, National Development Camp. In these positions, she was responsible for evaluating goaltenders for National Team Consideration. 

Prior to coaching, Brady wrapped up her collegiate playing career at UMass Boston in after two seasons with the Beacons in 2015. As a transfer from the University of New Hampshire, she was the first player in program history to be named a New England Hockey Writers Association All-Star. She also picked up ECAC Second-Team All-Start status as a junior in 2014. 

Bradly begin her collegiate playing days for the Wildcats at UNH, where she defended the pipes from 2011-13. 

Prior to her stint at UNH, she suited up as netminder for the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CHWL) from 2010-11. 

While at Suffolk, Brady will be furthering her education with a Master’s Degree in Higher Education.
