HOW IT HAPPENED
Deutsch chipped in the game-opening goal at the midway point of the opening period. Molind had the puck behind the net found Deutsch in front, who quickly snuck it by Casey Mortiz to give Suffolk a 1-0 lead at the 10:47 mark.
Endicott leveled the playing field behind Ella Rago's strike at the 8:18 in the second stanza. Maggie Lynch and Maggie Holt helped on the Gulls first goal of the day.
The visitors went ahead with 2:18 remaining before the second intermission thanks to Cami Ahern's marker that was assisted by Jo Wimler and Teaghan Hall.
Suffolk managed to make things interest as Pohl tied things up with 32 seconds left in before the second intermission. The grad student made it 2-2 with help from Maddie Gagliano and Liliana Moose.
Both sides went scoreless over the third frame to send the conference clash into overtime.
Endicott commanded most over the extra session, but Jenna Caballero got control of the puck in the Rams zone and found a wide open Molind at center ice. The senior took the pass for a one-on-one with Mortiz and sniped the game-winner low stick side shoulder to send Suffolk to victory for the first time this season.
