2024-25 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S HOCEKY ROSTER

BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey will get an added boost from new faces in 2024-25 as second-year head coach Abby Ostrom assembled a nine-member recruiting class. 

The group is comprised of seven true freshmen – Lily Abraham, Shayna Deutsch, Alexia Hill, Liv O'Brien, Laurel Potter, Lola Rubenstein and Abby Sandler – one sophomore transfer, Katelyn Michals from Assumption, and one grad transfer, Kate Pohl, who played her undergraduate career at Amherst.  

Position wise, there are five forwards – Abraham, Deutsch, Hill, Pohl and Potter – a pair of defensemen in O'Brien and Sandler and one netminder, Michals. 

"We are excited to welcome nine newcomers to Ram Nation this fall," Ostrom said. "They come to us with a variety of playing experience and strengths and are excited to hit the ground running." 

The newcomers will add depth to the Rams' 22-player roster that brings back graduate goalie Lily O'Neil, the only goaltender in the women's program to record 1,000 career saves, two-time all-conference defenseman senior Leslie Steiner and offensive threats from a year ago, juniors Jenna Caballero (6g, 8a) and Liliana Moose (3g, 9a). 

Suffolk is days away from dropping the puck on its seventh varsity season. The Rams will get their 2024-25 season underway at the Utica Kickoff Tournament at the Nexcus Center in Utica, New York. Game one pits the blue-and-gold against the host No. 13 Utica Friday, Nov. 1 at 4:00 p.m. Pending results from the first outing, Suffolk will either face Wilkes or No. 5 Elmira on Saturday, Nov. 2.
