
EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey was overpowered by No. 8 Colby, 8-0, in the Rams' non-conference finale Tuesday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Colby chipped in one goal early as Courtney Schumacher put the puck away after a steal in the neutral zone 1:36 into the first period.
The Mules' cushion catapulted to 5-0 as the visitors poured in four unanswered in the middle period.
Colby continued to pile on the goals in the third period for the lopsided 8-0 final.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Izzy Buckett took the loss despite a 29-save effort.
- Paige Bolyard logged the shutout with a 26-save performance.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Colby controlled the pace of play and the offensive statistics followed suit as the Mules outshot the Rams, 37-26, and held the face off edge, 35-24.
- Shot wise, Liliana Moose had five to her credit, while Anya Nichipor put three attempts on target.
