
HARTFORD, Conn. – Back in action in over a month, Suffolk women's hockey was tripped up by No. 13 Trinity, 5-2, Saturday at the Koeppel Community Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bantams gained a one-goal edge in the first when Marta Mazzocchi potted the puck on the power play at the 11:48 mark of the non-conference contest.
Just over two minutes out of the locker room from the first intermission Maddie Gagliano leveled the playing field with an unassisted strike.
Back-to-back Trinity tallies pushed the host ahead, 3-1, at the second intermission.
A pair of power play goals in a four-minute span in the third extended the Bantam's edge to 5-1.
With seven seconds left in regulation, Leslie Steiner scored for the 5-2 final.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Lily O'Neil had 30 saves in the setback.
- Hannah Leclair put together an 11-stop effort for Trinity.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Gagliano and Steiner both scored for Suffolk unassisted.
- Trinity overpowered the Rams in shots, 35-13.
- Face offs were nearly even, but favored the Bantams, 29-26.
